The use of automatic insulin delivery technology is slowly increasing, yet HCPs can be reluctant to switch patients from their current therapy approach of multiple daily injections, believing that if patients are managing their levels, then there is no reason to change. An HCP can sometimes miss the emotional impact of multiple daily injections.
So Insulet wanted to create a patient awareness campaign for Omnipod DASH® to encourage them to own the conversation around insulin pump choice with their HCP.
The T1D community is a highly engaged and active member group, often filling the gap of the HCP. They provide not only information, advice and emotional support, but also advocate for better treatment therapies.
Insulet has its own community called the Podders, who are active spokespeople on T1D and pod therapy.
The Podders™ at the Heart campaign bought to life a series of genuine ‘A-ha’ moments from real-life patients, showing how Omnipod DASH® alleviates the burden of T1D in everyday life.
We wanted to mobilize the Podders™ to become the face and voices of Omnipod DASH®, sharing their moments through their networks and social channels.
